Receiving Salvation

The way to Receive Salvation is Simple.

• First realize you are a sinner.  There is not one person on this earth that is perfect and sinless. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

• Then Repent of your sins. All we need to do to receive forgiveness from God is to repent and ask him to forgive us. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 

• Call Upon Jesus.  Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9 says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:10 says, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is nothing we can do that would be good enough to get us into Heaven, except accept God’s son as our Savior.  We are as filthy rags before the eyes of God (Isaiah 64:6).  Works will not make you righteous before God.  God looks for the blood covering of the Lamb of God, which is from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.  If righteousness were good enough, Jesus would not have died on the cross. Not by works of righteousness that which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost (Titus 3:5).
